About Marine Atlantic

Marine Atlantic, a Crown Corporation, is dedicated to delivering a secure, eco-conscious ferry service between the Island of Newfoundland and the Province of Nova Scotia with reliability, courtesy, and cost-effectiveness as our pillars. Situated in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, our headquarters oversee our operations.

We operate two primary routes. The first is a year-round, 96 nautical mile daily ferry service connecting Port aux Basques, Newfoundland and Labrador, and North Sydney, Nova Scotia. The second route, available from mid-June to late September, spans 280 nautical miles between Argentia, Newfoundland and Labrador, and North Sydney, Nova Scotia.
